Biography of Parkland Shooting Victims

February 14, 2018, began with Valentine’s Day cards and roses at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Seventeen students and staff—dreamers, athletes, teachers guiding young minds-died amid the chaos, their futures gently unfolding elsewhere. Survivors and families transformed grief into purpose, founding March for Our Lives and advocating nationwide for safer communities. Names like Alyssa, Joaquin, and Meadow are remembered in gardens and scholarships that carry their light forward. The Parkland 17 memorial stands as a circle of healing. Their courage reminds the world that young voices can move mountains and that love is the strongest answer to loss.
